Hey amazing wonders of brilliance and light (aka interns),

Thanks for your help on the Charis event and for communicating with the artists about the images for the children’s books. Talk to you on Wednesday.

    • Send Thank you cards and gifts to new monthly sustainers
    • Add the attached posts to the APG website
    • Add the attached images to the website on the gallery page. I noted the ones I like for FB
    • Prepare for and attend planning meeting on Black Feminist Night School
      Thursday @ 7pm Emory Library
    • Review your favorite blog posts, articles, etc. by Alexis and brainstorm SHORT phrases or quote combinations for screen printing on clothing.
    • Attend earring making play date (aka meeting)
    • Let Bryce (QRR intern) know what you want to eat for Black Feminist Film School
    • Add the relevant items from this calendar month to my CV with track changes on so I can edit them later.

Note: So the highlighted ones might be for super light weeks, but probably not in addition to all those other things with on a week with a meeting.

I’ll look for your update Wednesday. Oh and see you at the meeting on Thursday. Let me know if we need any face time after the meeting.

Peace,

Lex

Rest of the email has communication for other interns.

Wednesday 4:00pm

Send an email reply to Alexis and CC (i.e. carbon copy) Julia and other interns that reads like this:

Hey Alexis,

I had an amazing time at the event. I added all the contact info from the sign-up sheet to your google and mobileme address book. Also, delta are having an amazing sale now fro travel between ATL, DNC, NYC, CLT in various combinations. Now would be a good time to book the MBHC north travel.

        • Thank you cards are out. I see that some folks have received them already based on comments on FB.
        • I added the posts to the website by the date on the posts.
        • I added the pictures to the gallery. I also added them to FB and tagged you, Julia, Moya, Your mom, Elizabeth from Charis, and me :) in them all.
        • I took care of the tasks we discussed in the last Black Feminist Night School Meeting:
          • I read two of the articles and one of the chapters from Akasha Hull. AWESOME!
          • Also, I made a list of the women’s studies departments in metro-Atlanta to send the announcement to when it is complete.
          • The evite has 32/250 responses. 12 attending, 5 sweet comments, 20 not attending.
          • I’ll be early to the meeting to help set-up but also have to leave by 8pm.
        • I’ld rather share my quotes/phrases/merchandising/T-shirt ideas in person at the earring making play date.
        • Talked to Bryce about BFFS food already. I’ll be there early to help set up and debrief.
        • Haven’t added the items to your CV yet. But I will by next wednesday.

Check-In:

I spent about 10 hours on these items the bulk of the time went to reading and getting the gifts out.  Things are good. I have something I want you to read for me. Any feedback would be helpful. It is attached.

Peace,

You (Intern)
